With the New Year comes that challenge of finding ways to make you even better. What if self-acceptance was the most beneficial first step on that journey and what if Tapping could bring you to that place of true self-acceptance? The Foundation of Self-Acceptance With any project in life there is always the need to have a starting point and a strong foundation builds the best house. Self-acceptance is the best foundation you can have. When you accept that 'this is me right now', that honesty allows you to be more realistic with what your goals and expectations can be. What your goals need to be. Self-Acceptance Is An Art Form Self-Acceptance is the art of being able to accept all aspects of you, without judgement or criticism. It doesn't mean that you do not want to change some of those parts. Just that you acknowledge that 'this truly is me right now, and as I am, I truly am gift'. That bit can be the hard bit - seeing the whole of yourself, the good, bad and ugly, as gift. But not seeing all of you as gift is what is preventing you from being able to live your best life. Preventing you from moving through challenges that are keeping you stuck in past negative scripts. When you accept your whole self as being gift you come into the now and it is in the now that you need to live because living in the past is what is preventing you from being the best you can be, right now. Start Your Day Accepting You In this post, I would like to explore what helps me to see myself and others as gift. I do not always get it right, far from it. However, I do wake up everyday with a determination to have the focus of self-acceptance without judgement or criticism, because it is the best foundation for my day to then become the best it can be. When I accept myself, I have self-love, self-compassion, self-awareness. I do not put myself down, but I do come down to a place of just being me, and seeing that as good enough right now. I tend to also be able to accept others where they are at. Tapping on Self-Acceptance Did you know that Tapping can help you accept the good, the bad and the ugly aspects of yourself? With more and more research studies being published on the amazing results of Tapping, it surprises me how many people have still not heard about this very powerful tool and what it can do. Tapping Into Self-Acceptance One of the huge benefits of Tapping is that you get to change and transform the deep seated thoughts and beliefs from your early childhood. More and more, research suggests that the reason tapping works so well is because it combines your truth statements and beliefs with tapping on specific beginning and end meridian points on the body. I Help You Tap Into Acceptance When I Tap with people, I tend to get them to state exactly what is going on during their first round of Tapping. An example would be: "I truly am anxious all the time and I feel this in my gut and it is ruining my life." This script helps the person to accept exactly where they are at, right now. They are anxious. They are feeling it in their gut. Sometimes I will take the client even further on the felt experience, getting them to describe the felt experience of the anxiety. What could Tapping help you with?
