Rebounding and Bone Mineral Density

Did you know that rebounding offers you the daily weight bearing motion you bones need to help them integrate the mineral salts and collagen they need.

In chapter 10 of his book: Rebound Exercise, Albert Carter explains how bone density is a function of the cells. He explains that 'bone is composed of a tough organic matrix that is greatly strengthened by deposits of bone salts.

The average compact bone contains about 30% matrix (mostly made up of collagen) and 70 % bone salts. For your bones to remain strong they need both collagen and mineral salts (including calcium) working together. Weight bearing exercise helps collagen and calcium to work together.

Did you also know that even gentle rebounding will use your own body weight in a special acceleration/deceleration motion to give you the daily weight bearing motion you need to get your bones working as best they can in reproducing and integrating the special matrix and mineral salts.

Did you also know that things like stress, processed sugars, lack of the right exercise and poor diet, water intake can cause your bones to leach its mineral salts?
